The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) provides public, private and non-governmental organisations with the knowledge, tools and projects that enable societies, economies and nature to thrive together. As part of the "Together for the Environment" project, IUCN will contribute with its international expertise, support for the development of managers' capacities through a series of trainings, mentoring, training and similar activities.
Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) have been engaged in environmental protection, education and volunteerism for almost 50 years. Through the project, MIS will support managers of protected areas (PA) in cooperation and communication with local communities, establishment and management of user councils, as well as through grants aimed at managers of PA and informal groups of citizens.
The EcoNomic Expert Community Association (ENECA) is an organization that develops small and medium-sized enterprises through innovation and supports locally driven sustainable development. The project will support the development of sustainable businesses and local communities in the vicinity of protected areas that will participate in the project activities.
The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is one of the largest American organizations dealing with nature protection, which will ensure the transfer of international practices and knowledge in nature protection to Serbia and network different stakeholders from all sectors in order to ensure sustainable funding for biodiversity conservation.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia (AmCham) gathers American companies in Serbia, initiates a dialogue and partnership with the Government of the Republic of Serbia, business entities and other interested parties in order to work on improving the regulatory and business environment, and will actively work on the sustainable inclusion of the business sector on the project in the financing of protected areas.
